THE ORIGINS OF COMMON PAIN

Common pain is often caused by moving incorrectly over many years. “Many years” means 10, 15, 20, 30, or 40 years.

“Common pain” means many instances of back, neck, shoulder, hip, knee pain, and so forth. Obviously, pain from surgery, an infection, arthritis, digestion, cancer, a car accident, and so forth are in different categories. But note, that pain from a twisted ankle may be indirectly caused by inappropriate walking. And likely is!

Common pain can often be dramatically reduced by the right exercises.

If you want to lift weights, play better golf, or be a stronger cyclist, then pick good exercises for these activities. Or, if you have to lean over a counter every day, put boxes on a shelf, or walk in a crawl space, then pick good exercises for these activities. These movements are important. Pick an exercise that makes them good for you, and safe.

BUT, if your everyday movement is off, most of all, your walk, watch out that your everyday movement does not mess with your goals.

The best exercises are based on how you move every day – the way you sit, stand, and most of all, the way you walk.
